Description

Step off box, land and immediately jump for maximum height. The gold standard for developing reactive strength index (RSI). Minimizing ground contact time is key.

Coaching Cues

  • Step off box (don't jump off). Land on both feet, immediately explode up. Minimize ground contact time. Arms drive upward aggressively. Land softly from final jump. Start with lower box (12-18").

Contraindications

Only for athletes with strong base. Avoid with joint issues or poor landing mechanics. Master depth drops first.
