Step off box, land and immediately explode forward horizontally. Combines vertical drop with horizontal force production for athletes needing reactive horizontal power.

Coaching Cues

  • Step off box. Land on both feet. Immediately explode forward, not up. Minimize ground contact time. Drive arms forward aggressively. Land softly and stick the broad jump.

Contraindications

Requires mastery of both depth jumps and broad jumps separately.
