Beginner Lower Body Locomotive

Description

A progression from A-skips where the leg extends forward before pawing back to the ground. Develops hip extension power and hamstring involvement critical for sprint mechanics.

Coaching Cues

  • Skip forward with high knee drive. Extend lower leg forward at top. Actively paw foot back to ground under your hips. Think of pulling the ground behind you. Opposite arm coordinates with leg. Maintain upright posture.

Contraindications

Avoid with hamstring strains. May need A-skip proficiency first.
