Description

Squat jump with knees tucking to chest at peak height. Increases hip flexion demands and vertical jump height. A progression from standard squat jumps.

Coaching Cues

  • Start in athletic stance. Explode upward from quarter squat. Drive knees up toward chest at peak. Land softly with bent knees. Maintain upright torso—don't lean forward to meet knees.

Contraindications

Avoid with hip flexor strains or knee issues. Requires good squat jump proficiency first.
